Two upsets were registered in the week-end League matches the Club de Recreio, nëwcomers to the premier Leagua dafented the Kowloon Cricket Club by 6 wickets, while the Indian B.C... strong contenders for the Senior Division honours this seALON, EN=" expectedly want down to the Royal Navy by 41 runs.
The brilliant all-round display by A. P. Gütterres was chiefly responsible for the Recreio team's casy victory and the cause of the Indians' downfall was the deadly bowling of A. B. Large who dismissed 7 batamen for only 16 runs.
The IRC. Second, avenged their Sentors' defeat by account- ing for the Navy Juniors at Sookunpoo by 7 wickets. The only other 2nd Division Leaguo game was that between the K,C,C, and and Recreio and although playing against a depleted team, the former side was held to a drawę

Club v Army
For some inexplicable reasons three Borderers' players failed to put in an appearance in the Rug- ger Match between an Army XV and the Cub with the result that the Army team played with only - b men and lost by five goals and three tries (34 points) to pil at Scokunpoo on Saturday,
Club opened the score early at the start, McGilchrist went over following a three-quarter move- ment, Castleton falled to convers.› Immediately after Rigg crossed .. over after a passing boul with Robertson, the latter conveiting.
The Army missed several op- portunities to score, weak passing of the backs and lack of support in the loose being the main cause. Close to the breather Stewart ended a nice movement when he crossed over between the sticks. Robertson again converted.
་
After the resumption the Club was all over the Army, doing as they liked with very little oppost- Mon offered.
The Club was playing very wall together, Turner sending Stewart over for the latter to bring off his second try. The Club falled to add to the points.
The best effort of the game
