BOROTRA LOSES HIS TITLE

Austin Wins At Queen's Club

To Be Exhibited

In London

Special Air Mall Service)

London, Oct. 28.

A movement is afoot to obtain public exhibition in London of a status which, though famous in history, is known to few. This is the colossal marble statue of Napo- igan by the Itailun sculptor, Anto- nto Canova, which was acquired by the British Goverment in 1815 and presented to the Duke of Welling- ton. It is now in the hall of Apsley House. Picadly. At Napoler's request Canova went to Paris in 1802 to model a bust of the First Consul, and was lavishly entertain- d. but the statue was not com- pleted until six years later. There appears to be some mystery about the exact manner in which it came into the possession of the British Government One recount "says that it was sold secretly to the

francs 66,000 through the agency of the British Ambassador in Paris, while another version is that Louis XVIII. made a present of it to Britain.
