In order to afford a measure of relief to the coconut industry, the Federated Malay States Govern- ment has decided to grant in or estates respect of coconut small-holdings, planted wholly or predominantly with coconuts, a '50 per cent. additional waiver of iand rent in 1934.
The effect of this 'concession, in the case of lands exceeding 10 acres in area, is that:-
(a) the rent on planted areas al- ready enjoying the rebate for land cultivated with coconuts under the Land Rules and paying $2 an acre will be re- duced to $1 an acre;
