WARNING FOR UNQUALI- FIELD PULOTS
The Pilota Control Committee recently issued a notice emphasiz- ing that it would exercise its authority in proceeding against any unqualified pilots under the Criminal Law should they pllot vessels within the Woosung- Shanghai area. The notice also stated that fines would be imposed upon ships captains for having "engaged such unqualified plots. The notice was issued to counteract the activities, of unqualified pilots in opposing the Customs authori tles and the committee, to conse- quence of the refusal of the Cus- toms authorities to issue clearance papers for the sa.
