The Rustlers Roundup," the Universal Tom Mix western picture showing at the Alhambra Theatre, has one sensational feature in that It marks the 'first bow of Noah "Beery, Jr., son of the famous Noah. Beery and nephew of Wallace Beery, to the motion picture public in a feature length produc- tion. While Tom Mix is the star of the picture, a splendid part has been assigned to young Beery, who is now 19 years old, and who has been studying acting since he was 8 years old.
Beery is a Universal contract player, and efforts have been madd for some time to find a suitable vehicle for him. He has played only a featured role in one serial, "Heroes of the West." Mix, who is young Beery's screen idol and good friend, and the director of the pic- ture, Henry MacRae, conspired be give the young man his chance in "The Rustlers Roundup.".
Young Beery was born in New- York City on August 10, 1913.
