To perpetuate the memory of the late Alexander I of Yugoslavia, the Municipality of Marseilles has decided to rename an open space behind the bourse where the assas sination took place "Square Alexander, I" and also to aflix to the memorial a tablet with the following inscription "Here on Oc tober 9, King Alexander I of Yu- goslavia and Foreign Minister Loula Barthou were cowardly raurdered for the defence of peace."
Moreover, the city administra- tion has decided to vote an ade- quate sum for the erection of a monument to the late King on Quai des Belges- Tranioccan Kuo Min.
