Canton, Oct. 2. the recommendation of General Cher Tsai Tong and Mr. Hsiao Fu Chen, alı the government middle schools and primary schools have prescribed courses in Confucian classics. The

Commercial Press, Ltd. is granted the contract to print the books, which all students must study.

The revival in the study of classics is based in the teachings of the late Dr. Sun Yat Sen, who support ed "the retention of our age-old virtues" as a means of saving the country. To retain this orthodox virtue, it is deemed necessary to study the Confucian classics and Ilterature.
