The Executive Council of the Squth Wales Miners' Federation, strongly recommended to the delegates conference to-day the acceptance of the "memorandum of agreement which, following the intervention of the Mines Minis- ter, was reached on Thursday, in Interviews with the delegations representing both sides to the dispute.

It is generally expected that the terms of the agreement will be endorsed by the lodges to whom the delegates reported last night, and that formal acceptance will be registered at a further meeting of the conference, at Cardiff to- morrow whereupon the provisional terms will be embodied In the new wages agreement, to replace the existing one, which expires to-day.
