TRAINING GALLOPS
:
Gladiator In Good Trim: Good Performance By
Classic Hall
("BY "MORNING DEW")
"Saturday's training performances were somewhat marred by a Seady downpour of rain. The most impressive performance of the day was a mile gallop by Gladiator, the last three. quarters of a mile being done in 1.364 with the last quarter in 29.2. This pony appears to have improved considerably since the first half of the season.
Another good performance was that of Soldier of Germany, who was sent over a mile and a quarter. This pony, too, is much better now than at the beginning.
Able Amazon, Bronze Era, and Just That were among the Australians which went very well.
Classic Hall did an impressive, rallen over a mile going over the distance with Royal Flush. This pony appears to have a strong claim for the main subscription griffin event (11 miles) un September 22.
