Debtors Asked To Repay

The Kwangtung Provincial Bank is pressing its debtors for the re- payment of loans borrowed from it about a year ago.
The total amount given out amounted to $2,500,000 in notes of the Bank. but so far only $500,000 have been repaid.
Demand for repayment, Was nade three months ago, but no pressure was laid as refund would be made in paper money, which was then valued at 90 cents to the dollar. As the notes now stabi- lised and as the date of maturity has long passed, the Bank is again demanding payment.
