STATE FUNERAL TO BE HELD THIS AFTERNOON
Rounding Up Of Insurgents Continues
The extreme tension created in Austria by the dastardly outrage which cut off the life of the nation's 'lender has now been allayed. A long queue has been filing past the body of Dr. Dollfuss and the nation's file will be manifested at the state funeral this afternoon.
Throughout this period of trial, the nation has been extremely calm, while foreign" reperens- slons which were feared are now remote as the capital is gradually returning to its normal condi 1lon.
Press comment in certain sections tend to place the responsibility for the events on Germany. but on the whole it is considered that she is not to blame. Meanwhile the despatch of her former Vice-Chancellor von Papen as Special Envoy to Vienna is expected to remove any misunderstandings that may exist..
"Fighting has been in progress in Styria which is the last stronghold of the insurgents, "but the Government forces have complete control of the situation and are rounding up the rebels.
