Suver: Trading was practically at a standstill, with prices drifting lower on cables from abroad and en limited speculative huidation. Control buying did not seem to be
In evidence.
New York, July 10. Messrs. 8. E. Levy & Company's report, through their New York agents, Messrs. White. Weld'& Co., states:-
Stocks:-To-day's moderate rise accompanied by an expanding volume of business encourages our belief that considerable accumula- tion has been going on during re- cent sessions. Our view, however continues to be that the market is still a trading affair and we would limit further buying to periods of weakness rather than follow the strength of the market for the time being.. Business done 650,000 shares.
Bonds;-High-grades were very strong and the volume of business is increasing. Second-grades were also better.
Cotton:The market was active on the Trade and Wall Street buy- ing owing to renewed reports of weevils in the Central and Eastern Belts and on continued drought in the Western Belt: We advise tax- ing profits, however, on any fur- ther sharp advances, anticipating replacing at lower prices.
Silver: The market ruled duil throughout the day.
Rubber:-Prices were strong on considerable speculative and com- mission-house buying in the course of the day. We continue to advise purchases on minor recessions.
Wheat:-The market is steady, Awaiting the Government crop re- port. The Government report is
expected to be extremely bullish for all grains and we believe that purchases are justifiable.
