MESSRS. ROZA BROS. REPORT
There was very little doing in the Stiver market in London yes- terday Prices were 1/16 lower at 19 11/16 and 193 for Ready and Forward respectively. Small sales were made for account of China Interests In New York prices were slightly down at 45.33. The market was steady and well supported on Government account.
Sterling opened in New York at 508) and closed at 5.06 after touch- ing $.05 during the course of the day.
Market
Quiet. The tone was easy and business was on the small side.
Sterling
1/5 7/32 looked obtainable at the start, buyers bidding 1/5t, but no trading was effected except at 1/3 3/16 which rate was done for June and 1/5 7/32 for July, The market remained at this level throughout the morning and closed at 1751 sellers with buyers for. cash at 1/5 5/32, buyers for July at 1/5 3/16.
AMERICAN ORIENTAL FINANCE CORPORATION
AND S. E. LEVY & CO.
New York, June 11. Stocks:The market reacted well, consolidating its gains and we would buy further on small reactions.
Bonds:-Bath high-grades and second-grades were slightly easier. Our opinion of the market is unchanged.
Cotton:-Local selling caused easiness. Production in some Inven- mills is running behind their sales for several weeks. tories are gradually being reduced and we believe that pur- chases can be made on declines.
Silver: The market continues dull. Rabber:-The market is entering the upward trend, al- though reactions caused by profit-taking and unexpected econo- mic developments are always pussible.
Wheat-Nervous: Much doubt exists as to whether recent" -moisture will be able to save a large part of the crop, stace Winter 'wheat is so far advanced. Rain in many parts at this time will do more harm than gxid. We continue to recommend purchases on recessions,
