Mr. Chow Lu. President of Bun Yat Sen University, is in receipt of a telegram from the Ministry of Education informing him that the Board of Trustee of the Brit- 1sh Boxer Indemnity Fund. has de- cided to grant 8150.000 Mex. to the university here for construc- tian expenses.

This sum is paid in three annual instalments.

s: The university in need of funds to complete the buildings, and grounds at Shek Pei on the eastern outskirts of the city. Some of the buildings, will be completed in time for the au- tumn term when the Schools of Agriculture. Science and Engineer- ing will be moved there.

The new campus is located in the open country with beautiful surroundings, coupled with moun- tain and river views in the back- ground. Funds for the construc- tion expenses are partly secured from taxes on imported cement and fertilisers.
