London, May 18. In the House of Commons. an attack on Japanese policy in the Far East was launched by Sir Stafford Cripps (Labour), who maintained that Japan had em- barked on an imperialistic expan- sion and two "alternatives. either Russia or China.
Russia's strength apparently mo- dified the desire of the Japanese nitarists to make an incursion into Siberia as far as Lake Baikal.
