MORNING DEW
There was plenty of excitement at the "Aeria Preta Race Course yesterday when the Macao Jockey Club held Its first extra ·· race meeting.
The outstanding feature of the day was a dividend of $841 paid on Heart's "Joy, which pony, ridden by Mr. Li Fook Fal, won" the Bedale Handicap, over a mile.' There was only one backer.
In the fifth race on the programme, Mr. Ip’Kui Ying brought in Banquet Hall to finish in front of. Wakefield, but was dis- qualified for humping:
Another big dividend was paid in the Machine Gun Troop race, when Anson, ridden by Mr. Mossop wên to pay his sup- porters $89.60 for a win..

Mr. Norman Deltz, the leading local jockey was heavily thrown in Ine Victoria Handicap, when. Bran Tub, which he was riding in front of the Beld in the home stra.ght jumped the rails Mr. Deltz did not get up and it was thought at first that he must have been seriously injured, but fortun- ately it appeared upon examination fterwards that ha escaped with no more than a severe shaking.
Panama Wins.
In the opening race over a mile, Mr. H. J. Law's Panama was clever- ly handled by Mr, Butler, to win from Potsdam with Black Velvet finishing close up. The Crooks and Valley Hall took the lead in the
earlier stages of the race, with Sea View playing a waiting game. After six furlongs, the leaders had had enough and Potsdam and Panama passed them, one on each side. In a close tussle home,
Panama won. Black Velvet passed Valley Hall a hundred yards from
