A small business was done, the market closing quiet- ly steady at the previously quoted rate of 19 15/16 for Ready but the Forward rate was 1/16 up at 20 1/16. The American rate higher at 461 possibly in response to anticipated new legislation.
Sterilng opened in New York at 5.174 and closed at 5.177 with a steady tone.
