Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Cast Iron, Wrought Iron, Lead and Steel Scrap.

Bolts, Nuts, Washers, Brass Cleats, Fasteners and l'ivota. Porce- lain Cloats, Insulators and Shades.

Brake, Blocks, Spokes and Nipples, Driving Chains, Hubometers Valve Springs.

Wheel barrows, Rubber Hose, Glazed and Unglazed Tiles, Stove- pipës Stoneware Pipos etc.

The material can be seen at the places named in the Specification, and, is each Lot" must be taken as it lies, intending offerera are requested to inspect sumie before tendering.

Terms of payment-Net Cash before delivery, payable to the Colonial Treasury.

Each Tonderer must produce withr bis tender a receipt that he bas deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $10 (ten dollars) as a pledge of the bona fider of his tender. The said deposit shall be forfeited to the Crown should the tenderer refuse or fail to carry out to the satisfaction of the Government any tonder which shall be accepted.

The deposit shall be returned to any tenderer whose tender is not accepted and to the successful ten- derers on payment into the Colonial Treasury of the sum tendered and accepted.

Berlin, March 12, The death of Franz Schreker formerly

one of Germany's most prominent musical composers and who as an artist leader and teacher earned a permanent place among the leading musicians of the twentieth century was » an- nounced on Wednesday night, on the eve of his afty-sixth birthday after a long and painfull liness. Herr Schreker was born in Monaco in 1878 and showed such extra- ordinary musical talent on the violin and organ that he kept his widowed mother and, family while still at school.
