THE Company recently made &

TH call of $3.75 per share in

respect of the partly paid shares in the capital of the Company which was payable by the registered holders on or before the 15th December.. 1933.

Some of such registered share- holders have not paid the call and the Company has notified those of such registered holders who are also the registered bolders of fully paid shares that, unless payment of such call together with inter at thereon "is paid to the Company on or before the 28th day of MARCH, 1934, the Directors will, in addition to their other remedies, take steps to obtain payment by selling such fully paid shares in accordance with the powers conferred on the Company" by its Articles.

It is realised that in some cases both partly paid and fully paid shares standing on the register in the name of the same shareholder have both been sold to the same person, but that such person has taken no steps to have his name put or the register.

While the Company can only deal with such shares in accordance with the share register it coasters fit advisable, though under no" legal obligation to do so, to ware unregis tered purchasers of such partly paid and fully paid shares of the intention. of the Company in the event of any call ant being paid on or before the 28th day of MARCH, 1934, to en-

There was an attendance of about 5,000 at Caroline Hill on Saturday when the new pavilion of the South China Athletic Association was officially opened by His Excellency the Governor, Si William Peel.

In the course of a brief address, Mr. M. K. Lo, the Association's President recalled the growth of the member. ship list from 167 in 1917 te 5,000 to-day.

His Excellency the Governor said it was a great plea- sure to him to open the new "pavilion of the S.C.A.A.. He joined Mr. M. K. Lo in making an appeal to the members to play the game for the game's sake,, and .com. gratulated the Club on the progress it has made in sports.

The new pavilion occupies an area of 7,000 square feet, and has two storeys. Built of re-inforced concrete, it has two grand stands, one facing the football ground and Ample space has another overlooking the tennis courts. been provided for changing rooms, kitchen and gymnasium un both floors.
