Air-Line Stock "Accounts Made Public

. His statement was issued in reply to a storm of adverse comment levelled at him following his recent attack on President Roosevelt for cancelling the American" air-mail contracts.
Colonel Lindbergh's' telegram, given to the press before it was received by the President, acted as a boomerang and brought wide- Spread criticism upon him, inclu- ding charges that he had accepted huge blocks of air-line stocks in return for his services to the com- panies with which he became associated as technical adviser and director and for lending his name to air-line corporations which were involved in the air-mail, frauds.

The Senate Committee is investi- gating air-mall contracts, however, showing that Colonel Lindbergh received an outright gift of 25,000 shares of Trans-Continental Air Transport stock, then valued at $250,000 in addition to his salary of $10,000 a year for associating him- self with that company.
