At the Kowloon Bowling Green Club on Wednesday the" annual bowls competition for the Attaboy Shield, presented by Mr. D. F. Warren, a former president of the Club, was played.

Play opened rather evenly and Hong Kong had an opportunity of opening the score when they were awarded a penalty but Robertson missed the kick and it was left to Shanghai to open the score. This they did when they were given a penalty and, taking the kick from almost the half-way line, Bidwell dropped a beautiful goal. It was one of the finest kicks seen on the Club ground for many a long day. and it won for "Bidwell a well- deserved round of applause; ||

Another Miss

Shortly after this Hong Kong were given another penalty but like the first, this also went a begging. Then followed a bit of bad luck for Shanghai for they" were again penalised for offside and McLellan, who took the kick, equalised for the local alde. The player who was pulled up did not appear to have been intentionally offside as he made not attempt to play the ball. Half-time came with no change in the score sheet.
