Commodity Index dela Landa, Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondents, E A. Pierce & Co. The market at the opening stag.. gered under the impact of the accumulation of overnight selling; however, there was no, disorder in the rank and file of stocks and the brunt of the selling fell on aviation stocks, but, with the exception of United Air, all athers rallied before the close.

Wheat: There was a wear opening under general solling, with poor support as a result of the proposed Government regulation and fear of like measures being applied to the commodity exchanges. The market rallied; near the close on commission-house buying.

Cotton: There was a bread general demand, but Southern selling was more noticeable. Prices closed firm on the probability of some form. of production control, while a large sale of goods, inducing more price......... fixing aided the market.

Silver: The market opened quiet and easier and then made full re- coveries from the low levels. The steadiness of the Sterling exchange was off-set by lower London advice.
