FISHING BOATS DISASTER.

Big Fleet Sunk In Typhoon

According to a Canton vernacu- lar paper, a big fleet of fishing boats was sunk in a sudden typ- hoon, while they were returning from fishing outside the Ping Hoi Harbour of the Wai Yang District, over the week-end.

The Incident occurred about twelve miles outside the Ping Hol Harbour, and at the time of the disaster, a heavy sea was running. so that all the boats filled rapidly and sank.

During the typhoon, the boats were all sunk and carried away by the strong currents, and hence no one could be saved. Over thirty persons are believed to have been drowned, and the total loss is about $10,000.
