As far as the undertone of the, striction news market is concerned, some im- provement was noticeable on the Shanghai Stock Exchange last Tuesday. asis Landa," Limited, has received the following report from their New York correspondenta, E. A. Pierce & Co. Outside aviation stocks, no par- ticular trend was noted. The strength of aviation issues is confined mainly to manufacturing companies probably due to expectation of Government
orders.
Wheat: Market quiet but steady. Market news is without any fea- ture and, in the abse of pressure, prices slowly edged
up.
Cotton: The Jarable attitude towards the Bankhead Bill is partly responsible for the better tone. The steadiness of prices in the face of recent selling seems to encourage the reinstatement of a long position
Bilver: Markat generally quiet, but prices tended to go higher on the better Sterling exchange and further bank support. Speaker Rainey stated that it was likely there would be no legislation on stock exchanged at this session of Congress.
