Edinburgh, January 2. FEWER SCOTS-IN SCOTLAND,
For the first time Scotland's population shows a decrease.
In the newly issued second volume of the report on the Four teenth Census it is given as 4,843, 930: The drop since 1921 is 39,517:
The figures will certainly be used as propaganda by the Scottish Nationalists, more especially as there is a drop of 14.3 per cent. in the Gaelic-speaking population.
The loss in population is entirely due to migration. Since 1921 391, 903 Scots have left their native
land.

Captain Baker said to a reporter: -Lady Mary is a born flyer. She has only had a very few hours) Instruction, yet already she handles a 'plane like an old stager. She

GREYFRIARS CHURCH Greyfriars Church, Edinburgh, an historic Bcottish church with immediate post-Reformation and Covenanting associations, is to be rededicated by the Right Rev. Dr. Lauchlan MacLean Watt, Modera- tor of the Church of Scotland General Assembly, on Sunday, January 7
For over a year workmen have been engaged in rebuilding the interior stone arcades of the old church and forming a new root for the main aisle, restoring the east gable to its former design, and reconditioning the church building, for modern worship.
