Saturday's Shield matches were very keenly contested, the Hong Kong F.C. and Kowloon FC. bringing off surprises.
Hong Kong Club entered the semi-final when they defeated the Lincoln Regt by two goals to one.
Kowloon held the South Wales Borderers to a draw in the seventy minutes play, but went down during extra time by & goal.
The HK. Police were unfortunate in losing to St. Joseph's after having a two goals lead. The Saints putting on three goals without further reply from the Police.
The Royal Navy just managed to defeat the Athletic on the Railway "ground. the Athletic missing their chance in. not re- gistering a goal before the interval.
In the Junior Competition, Hong Kong F.C. held the Bor- derers to a draw, one al A further meeting will be necessary
to see which team enters the semi-final.
The R.A. had a big margin against the E.K. Police. The Police put up a very good show in the opening, half. Seeing that they had not played together before this season and practical- ly no practice. South China "B" and R. Navy quality for the gemi-finals. The Lincoln Regt, secured, the, Division I championship by their win over the R.A.M.C. on the Chatham Road ground.
