FOLLOWERS
An inspiring lecture was delivered at the Cathedral Hall yesterday by Miss Muri Lester on Gandhi." The lecture followed the annual meeting of the Hong Kong Peace Group.
Miss Lester gave her audience a very clear concep- tion of what is, meant by Gandhi's policy of non-violence. She spoke of his visit to England to the Round Table Conference and of how he preferred to live in the East End of London instead of at the West End or in the homes of the rich and the influential, many of whom were eager to be his hosts.

She arrived in India on Gandhi's 5th birthday and spent a whole month there, little dreaming what it would lead to. She had the was good fortune to see what happening in India and realised that what she had heard of Mr. Gandhi did not include the work that was being done among the villagers, the coolies and the un- touchables by scores of his fol- Towers all over the country.
