Mr. Alexander Legge

New York, December 4. Mr. Alexander Legge, President of the International Harvester Company since 1922, died yester- day.--Renter.

Mr. Legge started his business career as an assistant in the Mc Company in Cormick Harvester 1891 and gained rapid promotion, becoming general manager of the firm's successors, Internation- al Harvester Company, in 1913.

During the Great War he was Vice-Chairman of the War Indus tries Board and was manager of the Allied Purchasing Commission After the war he went to Europe and assisted in the reorganisation of the industries of France, Ger- many and Russis
