Asia Landa, Limited, has received the following report form their New York correspondents, E. &. Pierce & Co. We frankly cannot explain the heaviness of the market, except that it is possible that it may be due to the rumour that there need be no fear of drastic inflation and that the incentive to the rapid purchasing of common stocks has disappeared, at least for the present. Unless we are to have a substantial reaction, is seems that support should come tomorrow at about today's low levels.

Wheat: The declining Sterling Exchange, December liquidation and local short-belling caused an early weakness.-A-Government agency buy- ing "cash" wheat, forced short covering. Statistics are moderately bullish, but the Trade is bewildered.

Cotton: The decline was due to liquidation partly from abroad, which aupplied Trade buying on the scale down. Speculative demand is small

Silver: Declined on the weakness of the Sterling Exchange. This. weakness, together with the weakness of other commodities is perhaps attributed to the conviction on the part of speculators that the "sound money" talkers are going to get somewhere. Business Done: 166,000 shares.
