The funeral of the late Mr. George Payne, Inspector of Ship- wrights, H.M. Naval Yard, whose tragic death was reported in our columns, yesterday, took place at the Protestant Cemetery last even- ing. The Rev. F. Chamberlain, Chaplain to the Royal Naval Yard, conducted the service, and prac tically all the departments of the Yard were represented.
