The Ellis Kadoorie Prize giving took place on Satur day, and was notable for a searching review of the school-both pupils and curriculum coming in for some candid comments by Mr. W. L. Handyside the re cently appointed Headmaster.
Most School Reports consist of a platitudinous æðr count of the virtues of scholars and staff, with here and there the mildest, of reproofs, Mr. Handyside, by his outspoken comments has set a valuable precedent.
The School comes well of a sensible statement of the position. It is a fine institution but it is not perfect. any more than other schools are perfect, and one con- gratulates the Headmaster on having the courage to tell the truth.
