Dignified ceremonial, smoothly carried out, marked the investiture, by H.E. the Governor (Sir William Peel, K:C.M.G., K.B.E.), at Goverument House - yes- terday, of the recipients of recent Birthday Honours with the insignia of their awards. A large number of people were present including many officers of both Army and Navy,

Following the investiture refreshments were served to the guests.

Recipients of Honours and their supporters assembled in the Crush Hall to the North of the Ballroom door where Lieutenant Webb, A.D.C., made al arrangements.

The wives of those on the platform and o! those taking part in the ceremony were, with Lady Peel, seated to the left of and facing the dais.

Punctually at 11 am. H.E, the Governor entered the Ballroom attended by Capt. R. F. Walter, A.D.C. Mr. J. G.
