HOME FOOTBALL NEWS AND FORECASTS
THE FICKLENESS OF FORM: MORE UPSETS EXPECTED
LATEST AIR MAIL ACCOUNTS OF GAMES AND
PLAYERS
(By “Left Out”)
Owing to the uncertainty of form. upsets have been the rule rather than the excep tion in Home football quatches. This week a very attractive programme has been arranged for football enthusiasts, but although the results of some of the games appear to be too obvious to need any mention, I should not be at all surprised to see another bunch of surprises.
We are giving this time, some of the latest Air Mail news just to hand in the hope that it will be of some help to followers of the games here to pick the winners. League tables, brought up-to-date, are also given together with my forecasts.

FOOTBALL,
With the exception of the defeat of the Club by the Royal Navy no surprises were registered at last week's matches. According to the Indian Jockey- Club rules, the race was a sitter for Ration or Tecumseh, and Kilrea had to concede 7 pounds which of COUISE 2 WES quite a reasonable weight. The result as it turned out was Ration first. Kilrea and Tecum. seh second & third. LAWN BOWLS.
All who take interest in lawn bowls will be glad that Shanghai won their match against Hongkong Jon Tuesday and thus stand on, a equal footing with us in the final match. Luz, I thought played marvellous game on Saturday, but there is no gainsaying the fact, and Luz will be the first to admit it, that he had. all the luck on his side. In one head, Shanghai were lying four, when Luz with a driver re- moved all four shots and actually laid two. With the next wood he drew the shot to lie "three. Now this is the sort of thing that bucks team up and at the same time it was a very disheartening effect over the victima. Shanghai, downhearted in the first match and right up to the last wood, were optimistio as to their chances. They fought well and went down with flying colours,

Excellent Display By Happy Valley Club
Playing excellent bowls at Happy Valley, Craigengower C.C. led all the way in their match against a team selected from the visiting Shanghai lawn bowls players.
Shanghai scored a single shot in the first head, and then Craigengower got the lead and led by 10-1 at the end of the seventh head. By the fifteenth head they increased that lead to 20-4, but a splendid recovery by Shanghai_to- wards the end of the game, resulted in their putting on ten shots in four heads, and, they ultimately finished six points in arrears, the final score being 21-15 against them.
