"My Lips Betray" has been call- ed the Love Parade of 1033. This is another of the Fox successes," and with John Boles and Lillian Har- vey in the leads you are guaranteed splendid entertainment. We were fortunate to be able to witness the private showing, and find it diff- cult to say to whom the honours
should go. El Brendel as the 'King's chauffeur was most amusing, and strikes quita a «figure riding around the town in the company of" a very pretty yound lady none other than the charming Lilian Harvey, who hardly needs and introduction to theatre fans. If you saw her in "Happy Ever After," and were delighted with her dainty dancing and singing she will appeal to you even more so, as the little Miss who is supposed to be the King's favourite and had never set eyes on his Majesty. The gossipers had seen riding in the King's car with his chauffeur and as all gossips go they were sure she was the favou rite. This notoriety was the means. of her, soaring to fame, and she falls in love with the ruler of Ruthania, and ends up by becoming his Queen. John Bolce is at his best and makes a. decided bit as the handsome young King, whose mother wishes him to marry royalty, but he ends up by marrying the girl of his choice. Momma Watshek played by Maude Eburne is wonderful as the boarding house keeper, and almost steals the honours from the leading players who happen to be stars in their own right. It is a musical treat and the setting for this pic- ture is equal to the Love Parade" in which Jeanette Macdonald and Maurice Chevalier delighted so miany thousands of theatre fans all" over the world.
