JURY
Great Comedy At Central Theatre
The world chuckled at Edna šlay Oliver'in “Cimarron."
It probably will roar at her as a "Hold-out" juror in RKO Radio Picture Ladies of the Jury now showing at the Central Theatre.
Named by critics as one of the best comediennes in pictures, Miss Oliver. gives a new meaning to comedy in a special role.
"Ladies of the Jury" is the story of a typical mixed jury of men: and women who can only agree to dia-
agree.
With this as the theme, the film plunges into an amazing series of comic situations and reveals much of the inside workings of the American jury system.....
The film tells the story of twelve different types of jurors who find themselves "fooked in a rooin for the parpose of deciding the fate of a pretty | show girl accused of murder.
Fights, accusations and constant bickering revolve about the personality of Misa Oliver who finally wins the others to a verdiet of not guilty by playing on their emotions and racial differences.
The film does not depend upon. Miss Oliver alone to carry along the laughs. Director Lowell Sherman has provided supporting cast which includes, almost a scores of the cinema's most noted comedians. Among these ETO Ken Murray Rosco Ates, Kitty Kelly, Kate Price, Cors Witherspoon and George Humbert.
