I was told, sometime ago, that wild monkeys are to be found in Kowloon. That, of course, appear ed to be all wrong for I always looked upon Kowloon, as a highly civilized and respectable place. My informant, however, persisted in his story and as I was equally stubborn, we finally decided to go and see for ourselves, and for that purpose we hired a motor-car----- not one of those cheap' ones, but the kind that is complete with chauffeur and livery, etc.
