Thomas and his allies are not sa- tisfied with the use which President Franklin D. Roosevelt made of the authority given him in the farm re het bill to fix the weight of the sil. ver dollar in relation to the gold dollar, and placing the currency on a bi-metallic basis..

Little Used

In fact the President has made virtually no use of the silver fan tures of this measure, except to have the silver paid on the June 13, war debts by Great Britain, amounting to $10,000,000, issued in coin.

President Roosevelt has not clari. fed his monetary programme as it Affrets silver.

His intentions toward a possible remonetization of silver with gold un definite ratio are unknown, ex- cept that he has indicated a desire to or as conservative as is possible
