BREAK IN MONSOON CAUSES ANXIETY
BOMBAY July 15. The cotton crop all over the dis trict has been almost destroyed due to want of rain. If no rain falls within a week, the crop will have to be sown again. There has been no rain for, the past 20 days.
Critical in Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad:-The condition of the cotton crop here is critical due to the want of rain. The position, however, is not hopeless, as the rainy season has not yet passed The situation might improve if rain falls within a fortnight..
Holders are not inclined to dis- pose of their stocks of cotton, owing to the uncertainty of rain as well as the declining tone of the market. The cotton crop will be spoilt and have to be resown if a fort- rain does not fall within after night. The holding movement may
