Axia Lands, Limited, has received the following report from their New

York correspondents, E. &. Pierce & Co. The announcement of a reduc tion in the dividend of Atchison Preferred from five to three per cent temporarily unsettled the market but, as has happened so many times before, there wasn't any follow-through selling and no signs of abandon ment of the sponsorship more active issues. It looks as though we shall have in the immediate future a group of markets featured by a Wheat: further rise in Communication stocks, Tires and. Steels. Hesitating, with finala slightly lower. Canadian crop reports are more favourable. The low foreign demand, bearish statistic and heavy Canadian marketing are over-shadowing inflationary possibilities at present. Cotton: Market nervous, ignoring the strong cables, Rumours that the Reconstruction Finance Corporation would loan $100,000,000 for leasing cotton lands induced some speculative buying.
