green, again displayed remark- able bowling form when the họp county beat Northants by an ittnings and 90 runs. Freeman took 12 wickets in the course of the match for only 119 runs. In the anne game, Ashdown made 113 to record his second century of the season and Todd, a promising young player hit up 101. It was his Arst century.
In the only other game concluded Paynter scored a sparkling 176 to enable Lancashire to beat Cam bridge University by an innings.

I hear that the Prince of Wales and Mr. Winston Churchill are among those who have accepted in vitations from Lord Derby in his capacity as President of the Derby Club when that body holds its first dinner on May 25.
Mr. Churchill has undertaken to propose the only toast of the oven- ing other than that of The King" which will be the toast of "The Derby Club."
I gather that more than 200 men Parade-members and guests-will
down to the forthcoming dinner, to which each member is entitled to bring two friends (not one only, as I stated in a previous reference to the club's activities).

Official statistics show that in Canada there is one automobile for every 2.27 farmes. One farm in six has a radio receiver, one in 3.11 a telephone, one in twelve has water piped into the kitchen and one in twenty had water piped into the bathroom.
