After the armistice he flew -from Egypt to India, and after a short period at home, in 1919. he reasṣum- ed command of the Middle East, where he remained, until 1922, when he became Air Member of Council for Supply and Research. In 1026 he proceeded to India as Air Officer Commanding, and while there ca ried out, many official tours by air, one of them covering 3.700 miles, and taking in the principal cities and Ceylon.

On his return home threo-years, later he was appointed Air Officer Commanding Air Defence Grent Britain.

For his services during the war he was awarded the C.B.; K.C.M.G., and D.S.O. He was mentioned in despatches six times, specially men- tionéd by the Secretary of State for War, and had numerous foreign decorations. In 1926 he was award- ed the K.C.B.

Sir Geoffrey married in 1910 Mar- garet, daughter of the late Mr. William Carr, of Ditchingbam Hall, Norfolk, and leaves one son and three daughters.
