SECOND DIVISION LINCOLNS. S. CHINA.
South China was severely trounė- ed by the Lincolns to the tune of six goals to one in their match played on Chatham Road ground.
The Lincolns were on the attack most of the time, and had. they made use of the opportunities offered, the scored would probably have reached double figures.
the
The Lincolus took the lead in the- "first minute of the game, Cousins scoring from & scramble. The Chinese then attacked, but their forwards missed numerous chances through dallying. Play was then transferred, and Higgins put the Lincolns further ahead with a fast rising shot after a brilliant solo effort. Shortly afterwards. same player again went through.
After the interval, the Lincolns continued to press, and McGuinness placed them further ahead with a low drive. Brennan added the fifth with a cross shot to be followed shortly afterwards by another from Higgins. Towards the end, South China redued the deficit through Ng Po Kiu.

Later Clarke, the Lincolns left winger, feceived the ball well up the field, and, after beating two men, segred with a nice left foot drive,

Many prominent local Chinese were present at the banquet, among whom were:-Mr. Chan Lim Pak, manager of the Nanyang Bros. To- bacco Co., and Mr. Wong Kwong Tin, chairman of the local Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
Following the opening ceremony, Generals Wong and Tam were led to inspect the exhibits, who highly appreciated the rapid progress of Chinese industries during the recent years," stating that they would have thought the goods of foreign manu- factures, had they not been inform- ed that the goods were of Chinese Barred products.
