ENGINEERS AND SHIPBUILDERS
That the Colony has maintained its progress in engineering during the year 1932 was indicated in the speech of His Excellency the Governor, Sir William Peel, at the Annual Dinner of the In- stitution of Engineers and Shipbuilders of Hong Kong last night.
Mr. P. T. Farrell presided over the dinner and in the course of his speech referred to the work done in local shipyards during the past year, in particular to the building of the vehicular ferrica by the Kowloon Docks and to the building of a modern drydock ht Messrs. Bailey's.

Mr. P..T. Farrell, in welcoming the guests, reviewed the past year's engineering activities in Hong Kong. He said: "I will take the course, as has been done on former occasions, of giving a brief review of the year's work from on En gineer's point of view.
