London, Feb. 21-Lord Ampthill Pro. Grand Master, at a special meeting of the Grand Stawards" Lodge, Freemasons Hall, last night, said it was his desire that the 1,140 London lodges which now exist should be reorganised so, as to give them something approaching the position of lodges in provinces and districte.
Lord Ampthill javested over 280 Past Masters of London lodges who had been honoured with London rank. This distinction was created in 1908, and last night was the first occasion on which any form of cre cognition had been given to it.
