Again there is not much change to report in the state of the mar- ket, which remains inactive, al- though one or two of the invest- ment issues turned, quite firm, not- ably Banks, bid up to 81,695, Un- ions 8820, and Telephones 8971.
Of the minor issues, Hotels were quite weak earlier, in the morning. and dealt in as low as 86.70 ex. the dividend paid yesterday, but later in the afternoon became slight. ly firmer.
