In the Unal of the Open Singles Championship of the Colony yesterday on the Stand Court of the Hong Kong Cricket Club, S. A. Rumjako beat J. A. Cassumbhoy “in straight sets 6-0, 7-5, 6-2. He thus retains the title for the second consecutive year, while also having to his credit the 1927 championship. The win ner proved superior in all departments of the game besides giving a good exhibition of generalship, court craft and tactics.
