Majesty's subjects resorting to China," shall be in any wise repugnant to or at variance with any of the provisions of this present Order of Her Majesty in Council, then such law or ordinance, so long as the same shall be in force, shall be obeyed and observed; anything in this Order contained to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding.

And the Right Honourable the Earl of Clarendon and His Grace the Duke of Newcastle, two of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, and the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, are to give the necessary directions herein, as to them may respectively appertain.
