OBITUARY

MISS JESSIE WHEELER.

News has been received in Shang- hai of the death in Edinburgh on Monday of Miss Jassie. Wheeler, daughter of Mr. J. E. Wheeler, who retired from his post of Assistant Commissioner of Police in Shang- hai two years ago, and is now living in Bournemouth.

Miss Wheeler will be remembered by a number of friends in Shanghai. She attended the Public School for Girls here, and on going home en tered Edinburgh University, where she had been doing very well.

The news of her death, it is believed from mastoid trouble, will come as a great shock to her friends, and sympathy a expressed to her parents and to her brother Mr. 1. M. Wheeler, who is with Im- perial Chemical Industries, Ltd., in Hongkong.
