There was a very large gathering at the Lusitano Club last night when the Annual Dinner of the Portuguese Company of the Volun teers was held,

In the course of his speech, Captain Jarvis made an appeal to members of the Portuguese community to join the Company. He was supported in this appeal by Mr. C. A. da Roza, one of the speakers of the evening.
