'Health was good throughout the year. Dr. E. M. Minett, Medical Officer for Schools, to whose kind est interest we are glad to pay a heartfelt public tribute, was quite satisfied with the airy and bright class-rooms, the new desks of "comfortable and well fitting pat- tern," the out-door classes for the kindergarten tiny tots and all other hygienfe conveniences.

Inspections.

The school was inspected by Mr. A. O. Brawn, Inspector of English Schools, and his satisfaction as well as his Report were extremely en couraging. I quote literally Dis- cipline excellent, all are very hap py. The work throughout the school la admirable. It is difficult to find a faw anywhere. Outstanding fea- tures of the school are the excellent Kindergarten, splendid book-work, and, the Recitations. These are chosen from all sorts of magazines and periodicals especially for their suitability, and assist materially in promoting good enunciation, gen- eral knowledge and memory train ing The children are losing their shyness, because they have now more confidence in their ability to con verse with Inspectors."

Examinations.

The University Examinations gave very consoling resulta: 10

were Matriculation and Senior Local Examinations, 2 passed the Matri culation, and 8 the Senior Exami nations, obtaining 8 Distinctions in English, 4 in Biblical Knowledge, and 2 in Needlework

But in everything there is always a "but;", we are losing you, and we are sorry for that. There was such a current of sympathy between you, dear Sir, and this school, per- haps because it is nearer to Tai Po than many others.

We wish you and Mrs, de Martin a very happy voyage, and will pro mise to pray for God's blessings on you. And please when you shall come back remember that in St. Mary's, you will always have little but true friends, who will always pride and rejoice in a visit of

yours.

And now girls, let us give three cheers to Mr. and Mrs. de Martin
